I have over a decade of experience in engineering, workforce management and project team development for the department of the navy. As a civil service member, I  lead a team of engineers and technicans to solve some of the militaries greatest challenges which has allowed me to develop a strong network of people across the world. My skill sets and network have allowed me to allocate funding to develop new training facilities on the east coast of the United States, increased training resources and bring together many different engineering, naval and business organizations together to overall improve our programs  .

I have always had a devotion to mentoring and counseling. Prior to beginning my career an elctrical engineer, I coached and mentored young people from elementary to high school in programs such as The Business of Engineering. I’ve participated in numerous leadership and mentorship programs to include The Leadership Challenge and Journey Level Leaders . In my experience, I’ve seen often at times, people can feel overwhelmed navigating a work force that does not provide clear rules of engagement, leaving someone feeling they are in a trial by fire. Over my tinier I have mentored new and experienced professionals alike on their career paths by helping them meet their personal career goals whether that’s applying for a promotion, making a career change or just providing help to process their day to day work experiences.

Currently I serve as an engineering for Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). My primary responsibility as a manager is to provide leadership, guiding and oversite to a team of multi-disciplined engineers, naval personal and management offices to ensure reliable and sound technical decisions and developing and implementing solutions to complex problems for the Navy.

As a graduate of Hampton University with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, I started my career at Norfolk Navy Shipyard as a Lead Test Director and work control facilitator. During my time there I oversaw and supervised testing for electric power distribution system and mechanical equipment. My duties allow me the opportunity to travel the world working on our nation’s fleet.

Mission

My mission is to create meaning and impactful relationships with talented career professionals. I strive to provide a personal coaching and mentorship experience to help my clients reach their full potential and achieve their career goals as if they were my own.
